Music
We are passionate about providing our children with an inspirational primary school experience that helps them become the best version of themselves they can be, and we believe music is a fantastic way to help them achieve this both in school and as part of our after school activities.
We aim to inspire our children to have a love of music and a desire to learn how to become musicians. and crucially, provide them with the opportunity to progress to the next level of excellence if they wish to. From our very youngest children learning how to play the recorder, the children will explore and play a range of instruments including, ukulele, African drums and keyboards and visiting our fully equipped music room is an experience all of our children enjoy and thrive on. We believe music should wow the children and present opportunities for them to explore their talents and passions and all our children have the opportunity to explore their musical talents through learning an instrument, composing, singing, and even performing as part of a rock band!
Once children start to learn the basics of playing an instrument, they really enjoy playing it. Every song they learn is a personal achievement which supports children to develop a sense of pride and achievement. We hope the experiences we provide encourage our children on their musical journey and give them the opportunity to explore and develop their talents and interests. We aim to ignite a lifelong passion for music and ensure our children understand the value and importance of all types of musical styles. We also hope to see some of them as performers, rockers and musicians of the future!
